LAGUNA, Philippines – The Lyceum of the Philippines University - Cavite (LPU-C) Liceo Esports emerged victorious in the Alliance Games S4 Nationals: VALORANT, defeating the Batangas State University (BSU) Alangilan Red Spartans 2-0. The teams had previously faced off in the South Luzon Regional Finals, where LPU-C secured their slot for the championships. This finals matchup served as a revenge match for BSU.

Notably, LPU-C has remained undefeated since the regionals, showcasing their exceptional mastery and consistency throughout the tournament.

LPU-C performed exceptionally well on BSU’s map pick of Sunset, securing a 13-6 victory. Their key player on Lotus was Raya Milan, who delivered an outstanding performance: against FSUU in the playoffs as Gekko with 17 kills and 9 assists, and against BSU as Fade with 26 kills and 3 assists. Interestingly, LPU-C did not pick Lotus during the playoffs but opted for it in the finals.

Team manager, Zoe Diff, highlighted that player camaraderie was a crucial factor for them, with GabbyDiz providing professional experience due to his participation in VCT Philippines under Rank El Cuties. While he was a core member, the rest of the team was confident that they could still win even if he was eliminated early during the match.

With this win, LPU-C hopes to inspire more Lyceans to join the organization, believing that esports can lead to success. The team expressed gratitude to Doc Tess, Dean Javi Laurel, Ms. Ryzza Corpuz, Sir Andee, and Ms. Jane.

Congratulations to the champions, LPU-C Liceo Esports. Viva Pirata!
