LAGUNA, Philippines – The National University Manila (NU-M) Wizards Circle have come out on top in the Alliance Games S4 Nationals: League of Legends (LoL), besting the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) Oblation Esports 2-0 in the finals.

It almost looked scripted for an NU team to win when NU Laguna is the host. But no one predicted this.

The Alliance Games (LoL) scene was historically dominated by the Big Four universities. NU-M were the underdogs and had never held the champion title for LoL until now, defeating both DLSU and ADMU in the process.

The Wizards showed great adaptability throughout the 5-day tournament. They had initially lost to Oblation Esports in the group stages but showed them off in the final series.

NU-M regards play me a memory as their key player since he was the most experienced in tournaments, and provided valuable insights and predictions in draft picking.

The team was further motivated to push themselves and aim for the top spot as this was the last tournament of Cherub, their captain, with them before he graduates.

Is this the start of the NU dynasty?
