Aeioun Patawaran, the Head Manager of De La Salle University’s Viridis Arcus (VA)  is assisted by two other managers, Sarah Palabay and Ally Manzano who manages VA’s NBA2K and MLBB rosters respectively.

DLSU Viridis Arcus is one of the pioneering ten (10) campus gaming organizations in the Philippines, and had consistent podium finishes in Alliance Games, and other AcadArena sanctioned leagues of the past--most notably their 5-peat championship streak for VALORANT.

Patawaran’s esports journey began during the pandemic when he transitioned from casual gaming to campus esports. After a chance encounter with VA’s founding father in a random practice game, he joined Viridis Arcus and eventually climbed the ranks.

There he realized that due to the multiple successes VA has had in the past, the usual hurdle for their rosters was their mindset. “All our teams came with the "champ or bust" mentality, in my opinion, that didn't help with the amount of pressure they set on themselves. “ he said.

Entering the inaugural season of UAAP esports, Patawaran was successful in gaining the support of notable DLSU VA alumni like Xavi8k, Yuuske, and other veterans such as Sir Rial Polog Jr. who had massive contributions to VA’s NBA2K program.

DLSU Viridis Arcus ended the inaugural UAAP season with a championship in Valorant, a silver-medal finish in NBA2K, and a shocking group stage exit in MLBB despite being favorites to win it all due to their past successes.

With Viridis Arcus’ continuous success in campus esports, Patawaran, Palabay, and Manzano safeguards the team’s competitive drive.
